Toronto Celebrity DJ Charlie B Releases New Children's Book, "Ajay's Dreams"

World renowned celebrity DJ Charlie B releases his autobiographical children’s book, “Ajay’s Dreams”.

Ajay “DJ Charlie B” Saxena, international DJ, JUNO-nominated artist/producer, and Director of A&R at Warner Music Canada has announced the release of his debut children’s book, “Ajay’s Dreams”. Completed over the last year, “Ajay’s Dreams” is an engaging and heartwarming autobiographical children’s story that explores the concept of inner obstacles and the journey of self-discovery.

Charlie B is one of Canada’s most renowned DJs who has toured North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, bringing his unique sound and energy to audiences across the globe. His popularity in the music world has led to incredible opportunities collaborating with and/or touring with superstars such as LeBron James, Cardi B, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Karan Aujla, and Grammy-winning DJ Khaled, to name a few.

A fixture at some of the hottest and most exclusive nightclubs and private events around the globe, Charlie’s broad musical palette has led to him playing at many of the biggest sporting and music events in the world, including NFL Super Bowl Weekend, NBA All-Star Weekend, NHL All-Star Weekend, Grammy Weekend, and OVO Fest numerous times. Charlie B also produced his own album Across the Board which has received Gold (sales) certification in Canada and featured the hit song “30,000 ft” featuring Northside Benji, that received a 2022 Juno Award Nomination for Rap Single of the Year.

Before all of the accolades, Charlie was an ECE (Early Childhood Educator) in Toronto’s York Region. “Ajay’s Dreams” follows a young protagonist, Ajay, on a quest to overcome the invisible clouds of self-doubt that often holds kids back.

As the tale unfolds, readers are introduced to the challenges faced by the main character who grapples with self-confidence and uncertainty. Through a series of engaging encounters and self-reflection, Ajay embarks on a path of self-discovery.

Through its relatable characters and captivating narrative, “Ajay’s Dreams” encourages children to embrace their true selves and celebrate their individuality.

“Creating a children’s book has always been a dream of mine, so I’m humbled that it’s finally become a reality,” explains Charlie B. “I remember the feeling of fulfillment knowing that I did my best to create a positive intellectual impact on the children I once taught as an educator. I specialized in kindergarten education, and my priority was to make sure I offered them memorable learning experiences, whether it was helping them learn how to write or guiding them on their journey to learn how to read. Witnessing their progress over time meant the world to me. It feels good blending my artistic and educational experiences!”

Combining his previous background in teaching with a deep understanding of the transformative power of music in shaping young minds, Charlie brings a unique blend of artistic experience and educational expertise to “Ajay’s Dreams”. The book is co-authored by longtime educator Rhodora Meliton-Vanderpool who also co-authored the book “Stick To Your Vision: Young Maestro Goes To School” with rap icon Maestro Fresh Wes, and is illustrated by James Bada whose work has been featured on clients including Def Jam Recordings, Billboard, Red Bull Records, Tim Hortons, Spike Lee, Boi-1da, Jhené Aiko, Kehlani, and many more.
