A localized Caribbean version of the hottest interview series on the web, with over 1 billion views, will be produced by TEMPO Networks in the Caribbean, featuring top A-List Caribbean talent & celebrities.

TEMPO Networks, the Caribbean’s leading television network and lifestyle media brand and Complex Networks, a global lifestyle brand and entertainment company, and one of the most influential voices in popular culture today announced its partnership to launch ‘Hot Ones: Caribbean’.

TEMPO Networks and Complex Networks are partnering to bring the heat of the Caribbean to “Hot Ones”, the hit celebrity interview show with hot questions and even hotter wings. Similar to the original series, “Hot Ones: Caribbean” will feature and challenge A-list Caribbean celebrities each episode to eat increasingly hot wings, as well as other local cuisine, while answering burning questions about their lives and careers.

The Caribbean is a natural place for the expansion of “Hot Ones”, as the Caribbean is famous world-wide for its super spicy and tasty cuisine and more importantly some of the hottest peppers on the planet, including the Moruga Scorpion Pepper and the Scorpion “Butch T” pepper, both originating in Trinidad & Tobago. “Since its inception in 2005, TEMPO has been on the cutting edge of Caribbean entertainment and the region’s go-to platform for what’s hot, so it is natural that TEMPO joins with Complex Networks to bring Hot Ones to the Caribbean,” said Frederick A. Morton, Jr., Founder, Chairman & CEO, TEMPO Networks. “This year, TEMPO turned 15 and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone, partnering with global brand leader, Complex Networks, to localize and launch its hit series, providing world-wide exposure to the region’s talent, travel and tourism and cuisine markets.” While featuring A-list Caribbean talent and celebrities world-wide, the show will be fittingly produced in Trinidad & Tobago, the home of the scorpion Pepper.

Rooted in contemporary pop culture with a library of over 200 episodes in its 14 season, a passionate fan base of over 9 million regular viewers, a successful line of its own hot sauces, and accolades from top-tier personalities around the globe, “Hot Ones” is the hottest interview show on the web — featuring A-list celebrities, such as Kevin Hart, Kevin Durant, DJ Khaled, Gabrielle Union, Action Bronson, Rachael Ray, Bryan Cranston, Russell Brand, Keke Palmer, Seth Rogen, and Trevor Noah.
‘Hot Ones’ is one of the most internationally recognizable interview series today and we are so excited to continue to transcend boarders and bring a local version to the Caribbean with the team at TEMPO,” said Nick Wang, SVP, Head of Distribution at Complex Networks.

FilmTT, the Trinidad & Tobago state agency established in 2006 to facilitate the growth and development of the film and audio-visual sector in Trinidad & Tobago, will be providing critical support to TEMPO to facilitate the local production needs. “We are happy and honored to welcome ‘Hot Ones: Caribbean’ to our shores and look forward to working with the team to showcase our world-renowned peppers and by extension country to the world through this great initiative with TEMPO Networks and US based Complex Networks,” said Leslie-Ann Wills-Caton – General Manger, FilmTT

Frederick Morton, Jr., CEO of Tempo Networks

The show is scheduled to begin production in March 2021 and launched in April/May, 2021. The Host and inaugural talent line-up, along with other partners and sponsors, will be announced in subsequent releases.
