Today, Brooklyn-based emcee Your Old Droog released his latest studio album titled ‘Movie’.

Over the course of 18 songs, Droog invites listeners to a deeply personal and resonant sonic journey brought to life with the help of industry titans including Madlib, Harry Fraud, Ohbliv, Just Blaze, and Conductor Williams.

Droog shares…

“When I was a young child watching movies with my parents, whenever something was too good to be true, like a crazy stunt, or something that defied reality in a film … they would simply say ‘Kino’ … I wanted this album to be exactly that, too good to be true. I wanted to tell my personal story but also a larger story that every person can connect with. We are all writers, directors, and stars of our own Movie and we have the ability to make it something special.”

‘Movie’ was led by the standout Method Man and Denzel Curry-assisted single “DBZ” which was produced by Madlib, and sees the storied producer again laying down the framework for the Yasiin Bey-assisted song “Care Plan”.
