Shenna - Magenta [Track Artwork]

Budding pop star Shenna returns to the scene with her new single, “Magenta,” the first release since her debut album, Made of Gold. A sensual, retro-inspired track punctuated by breaths and vocoder samples, “Magenta” is an introduction to the edgier side of Shenna, and was produced by songwriter/producer Austin Bello (bassist/singer for Forever The Sickest Kids).

Originally from Woodbridge, VA, Shenna began singing at age seven and joined a production company at age 10 to break out of her shell. Since then, the half Syrian, half African-American artist has been honing her craft, building a loyal fanbase of “dreamers” through the strength of her live shows and irresistible tunes. Her music has been featured in Examiner, PopDose, VH1 and licensed to shows including MTV’s Finding Carter and Teen Mom OG, and indie film Miss Stevens. “Made of Gold,” the title track of her debut album, also reached over 150,000 streams after being included in Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist.

Shenna has made her mark playing festivals and shows in Washington, D.C., Canada, and recently toured London for two weeks in advance of the official release of “Magenta.” Her next local show will be at 10pm November 18th at Volume 21 of the National Sawdust’s “The Revolution” series, highlighting Harlem & Brooklyn based artists who stand in the breeding ground of evolution within their genre.
