Coast Contra Release ‘Apt. 505’ Album

Hip Hop/Rap quartet Coast Contra release their debut album ‘Apt. 505’.

Philadelphia-based rap group Coast Contra today release their long awaited new album ‘Apt. 505’, through Area51 Music, LLC and distributed through Virgin Music.

Fans have eagerly awaited the release of this debut LP, ‘Apt. 505’.

Named for the apartment building where the group met and lived, ‘Apt. 505’ is an exquisite blend of old school hip hop and modern production.

RioLoz, Eric Jamal, and twin brothers Taj Austin and Ras Austin, bring their own unique style and cadence to Coast Contra with distinctive verses and hooks influenced by some of the all time greats in the genre.

In February, Coast Contra released a viral freestyle video which got noticed and praised by some of the biggest names in hip hop and culture such as Swizz Beatz, Shaq, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, will.i.am, Timbaland, and many more.

On the eve of the release of ‘Apt. 505’, iconic comedian/actor Kevin Hart shared the video on Instagram saying, “STAND THE FUCK UP PHILLY!!!! Nothing better than seeing amazing talent coming out of ur city….rumble young man rumble!!!!”

The video led to a surge in Coast Contra’s social media, with fans raving and engaging with them by the minute.

During a month-long run of shows across the United States with rapper Cordae, the group were bumped up from 4th to direct support after just two shows when Cordae was blown away by their performance.

With over 100k Followers on Instagram alone, Coast Contra is currently enjoying their highest streaming numbers to date and steadily rising.

Coast Contra will continue to release new music and will announce new live shows through 2022.
