Chiney Ogwumike On Kevin Hart’s “Cold As Balls”

LA Sparks power forward Chiney Ogwumike gets real about inequality in the WNBA plus creating opportunities for women of color on Kevin Hart’s “Cold As Balls”.

We share today’s episode of “Cold As Balls” from LOL Network featuring LA Sparks power forward and ESPN analyst Chiney Ogwumike.

In the episode, the WNBA All-Star talks about making history and embarking in Journalism while still being an active player, and how if she succeeds at what she’s doing, she can create more opportunities for women of color.

Chiney stresses how detrimental it is when fans look at the WNBA through a stereotypical lens, and lays out what it really means to have equity for WNBA players.

She notes the bigger conversation is often swallowed up by pay inequality, when they really want to create a viable ecosystem to meet their basic needs (maternity leave, insurance, 401k, etc) in order to survive during and after their career.
