RZA on adding energy to the Knicks after their half time performance during game 4:
“But at the end of the day, look, the first thing goes to the hard work of the coach and the players, the players even. It goes to them first, right? But energy is everything. You know what I mean? Energy can multiply. And so when the Wu-Tang came with that energy, we put a spark. So I like to tell people, we lit that wick that led to that explosion cuz somebody had stepped on that wick the night before, I think. You know what I mean? I ain’t going to say no names. All right. So, I would say that, you know, the building felt different after our performance. And I think eventually that energy resonated and just permeated into our great New York team. And bong bong.”
RZA says if Wu-Tang Clan would have played during game 3, President Trump would not have taken a nap:
Caller: My question for you is, if you could have played at any other halftime to change the outcome of the game, what would it be and why?
RZA: Game three. [laughs] I’m only saying game three because, look, game three, I think if Wu-Tang would have performed, I don’t think the President would have took a nap. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? I think our President he’s a New Yorker, you know what I mean? And when that when that, when that Wu joint would have been on, he would have been like, “Yo, you know what? Let’s keep the party rocking.” You know what I mean?
