Video: Teck-Zilla & Psalmurai – Soul Calibre/Samurai Dreams

Enter the Kung Fu-inspired world of Teck-Zilla & Psalmurai, the Lagos City-based duo who’s bringing steady doses of heat in their new two-part video, “Soul Calibre/Samurai Dreams”.

Psalmurai not only stars in the visuals alongside his deejay/producer collaborator, but he also directed the proceedings. The video, which was captured by filmographer The Myth, starts with the dope-as-hell “Soul Calibre”, and it centers on the duo in a more relaxed state in their freshest gear. There are also some slick animated touches, footage from classic Kung Fu cinema, and shots of Teck showing off his hand-to-hand techniques in his Wushu Kwan gi.

As the video switches to the equally fresh “Samurai Dreams”, the energy begins to rise and Teck & Psalmurai react in kind. The duo matches the upbeat feel of the track off their Enter The Double Dragon EP by demonstrating a natural charisma that brings to mind some of the more iconic rap videos of the early ‘90s.
