Video: See I Am Many (@TheRealIAmMany) Put On @ NYC’s Gramercy Theatre On 1.18.2014!!!
Seeking a wider culture even as a child, Many started rapping at age 11 & hung out on the streets until he was able to get into clubs, always carrying a boom box. “In 1996, I became a raver & went to parties constantly for 2 years… but even in some crazy rave outfit I would still march up to a dude in another hood & say, ‘Do you spit?’ & we’d start up a cypher. I always had that hip-hop identity, even as I might not look the part. In 1998, I dropped the rave scene to become a battle rapper & part-time b-boy, winning battles & gaining respect from anybody who’s anybody in NYC.”
CEG & Tru Statement Entertainment are proud to present Homeboy Sandman in his hotly anticipated return to New York City. On Saturday, January 18, 2014, The Gramercy Theatre will play host to the Queens native who was signed to Stones Throw Records in 2011 & has been touring internationally since 2012. Hand-selected by Sandman for their originality, creativity, & superior lyrical capabilities, YC The Cynic, I Am Many, Open Mike Eagle, & Tone Tank, will round out the bill.
