Curating a distinct sound he dubs as “Old Rust New Bang”, the layering of heavy beats & nostalgic samples with laid-back vocals, Rey Resurreccion is making noise along the West Coast music scene. Having opened up for legendary artists including Souls of Mischief, Bone Thugs N Harmony, & Hieroglyphics, the multi-talented producer/emcee is no stranger to the game. Rey Resurreccion paid tribute to his hometown of San Jose with a couple of colorfully smooth videos for bangers like “Heart Of The City” & “Let It Bang”, which are both featured on forthcoming debut album ‘Heart Of The City’.

“Duck Down” is produced by DJ Goldenchyld (of the Bangerz) & plays like the proper motivational song to anyone making his or her way on the come up. Through hard-hitting drums, crisp snares, & carefully woven samples, Rey Resurreccion’s chic lyrical delivery guides listeners through the music game struggles he’s encountered.

“The struggle I mention in the song is all about paying dues; the same dues everyone has to pay in the game in order to get to the next level, sharpening my craft, recording, producing, performing, studying the game, & growing a fan base.”

Kicking off next month, Rey will be headlining the “Nice Dreams Tour” alongside J. Lately. The multi-city tour will begin in California, pass through Washington & Oregon, then finish up in San Francisco. With his debut album ‘Heart Of The City’ nearing, Rey has given fans a lot to look forward to.
