The Newham Generals drop the video for their 2015 remake of classic Grime track, “Frontline“, featuring the original line-up and surprise return of Monkstar blessing the beat.
The Generals have released a video for every track on the EP with “Frontline 2015” being the grand finale!!! This one is for the Grime kids, a nod to the roots of the scene & a welcomed return for one of the most recognized beats in Grime with the three emcees spraying fresh bars.
Released via Dirtee Stank Recordings on 5.17.2015, Footsie & D Double E teamed up with Bass Don, Toddla T, Taiki Nulight, My Nu Leng (Black Butter), Nutty P, & Sukh Knight on a selection of 5 tracks, steeped in Grime, Bass, & Reggae influence to drop the ‘N To The G’s‘ EP.
Pigeons & Planes, Complex, MTV, BBC, iD, Global Radio, & The Kiss Network have shown faithful support of the two Grime originators. Hitting over 100,000 plays on SoundCloud with “Levels” & performing “Soundboi Killa” for the first time live on Mistajam’s #SixtyMinutes, (the last #SixtyMinutes they were involved with has almost 2.5 million views), the Newham Generals have provided a relentless ambush on our ears that no music lover has been unable to avoid, and it isn’t just the UK that has had the treatment.
The Generals have already hit Australia & Dubai this year and head to Japan, America, & Croatia in the coming weeks before making it back in time for the UK festival season that will see the guys get the crowds jumping at Outbreak Festival, Born & Bred, & Glastonbury.
Unleashing music like a tsunami, Footsie & D Double E continue their reign as the Generals on this latest Grime wave, the question is, are you ready for ‘#NToTheGs‘!!!
