MiKE L!VE's self-produced single, "It's the Beat", receives proper video treatment just in time for its release on the Ghostface Killah-hosted Wu-Invasion Mixtape that just dropped. The video and song are both a nod to the gritty boom bap that has served as the inspiration for so much of the FTO emcee's music.
MiKE L!VE – It's The Beat (prod. by MiKE L!VE / video by QWYK)
For a long time Wu-Tang head like L!VE, the opportunity to be on a project like this was a dream come true. This move comes following a connection built organically off of a beautiful show moment where L!VE and Ghostface shared the same stage space in Asheville, NC:
"I open the door for these dwarves… but that ain't low key, hip till you get pushed to the side, like a oblique"
From Mike L!VE:
"On this project I really tried to explore the art of puns, homonyms, double entendres ect. I wanted my lyricism to be potent to the point that my wordplay/punchlines have many layers to them. You may think you got everything the first few listens… I can almost guarantee you didn't."
L!VE's new project "LIVELIHOOD" is coming soon.
