Virgin Music Artist & Label Services recording artist Marieme today releases the music video for her single "Love Now" which debuted earlier this month here on VannDigital. The single is a follow-up to her previous release, "Freedom".
In the music video, the viewer is sent into the screen of an old television and immersed in the world of Marieme and her music. Her dramatic makeup and wardrobe contrast the stripped-down warehouse location, emotional dance, and raw lyrics. The video emulates the songs' themes of forgiveness, repair, and hope through these aspects.
Marieme tells Hollywood Life, "Working on this video was a blast. Everyone came together to amplify the message of the song, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome."
Fashion director Nicola Formichett describes her vision for the wardrobe, "For the fashion in this video, I was inspired by aura and chakra colors. The looks represent different aspects of her being, There is a soft angelic Marieme to a strong warrior like Marieme, then to a stripped-down elegant Marieme on the piano. I am so happy to be apart of her journey to become the artist she is destined to be."
Video director Yvan Ray Fine says, "I absolutely enjoyed being part of the creation of this visual. Being able to collaborate with Marieme and Nicola on the concept was great, and seeing her perform in all of the different extravagant outfits on set was exciting to film. Marieme is a star, and I'm grateful that she trusted me with the vision to bring this project to life."
Marieme is a Senegalese-American singer/songwriter who focuses on spreading messages of social change and self-love through her music. She released her debut EP, 'Marieme', in 2018.
