Baller Status says:

Nipsey Hussle’s slogan in the release of his ‘Crenshaw‘ mixtape was “Eff The Middleman“, a campaign aimed at his indie approach.

In an interview with MTV News, the Los Angeles rapper explained his stance on the major label business…and why it’s a thing of the past.

“I feel like the major labels — I’m not gonna say all of them, but as a whole — that business model is a failing and dying business model,” Nipsey explained.

Up next is Nipsey’s anticipated debut album, entitled ‘Victory Lap‘. Will he sell it for $100? He’s still not sure, but says he’d release it in a unique way like ‘Crenshaw‘.

“I can’t say off top, I know I’m going to continue to pay attention to the game and I’m not going to follow what was done,” Nipsey said. “It isn’t the price of the plastic case and polyurethane disc–it’s the price of revolution! The price of rebellion against an industry that has tricked us all into making products that have no soul for fear of not being heard if we don’t.”

No release date for ‘Victory Lap‘ just yet, but until then, make sure to get the ‘Crenshaw‘ mixtape (also on BallerStatus.com)!!!
