Massachusetts hip-hop duo Lateb and Oblivious drop off the second visual from their upcoming W.O.K.E. project produced by Massachusetts heavyweight Jon Glass (Token, Joyner Lucas, M-Dot). “W.O.K.E.” has an eerie allure and a more mellow sound than their previous records. The title track features Lateb singing on the hook in between verses about achieving your goals even through the hardships.
As solo artists, both have worked with many legends in their own right including Canibus, Vinnie Paz, Slaine, Snowgoons, Blaq Poet, and REKS. After joining forces, the duo first gained notoriety earlier this year releasing a remix to Eminem’s “The Ringer” spitting hard unadulterated bars touching on a number of issues plaguing the United States. The duo is currently overseas in Europe on their second tour of the year doing a series of shows and festivals and is slated to drop the official “W.O.K.E.” project in the Fall.
