KR is an artist whose star is undeniably on the rise. Courted by many labels, included on various “Top New LA Artist” lists and aligned with a burgeoning/passionate fan base (including none other than Kendrick Lamar) that has helped him get featured on many major outlets strictly via word of mouth.
On the cusp of his debut movie role starring alongside Halle Berry and Daniel Craig in the upcoming drama movie "Kings" (the movie is centered around a foster family in South Central and set a few weeks before the city erupts in violence after the Rodney King trail) which was recently premiered in September at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released in theaters this winter.
KR delivered his new EP, The Intermission, in September and today he takes aim at his critics with the release of his new visual “Real Talk”.
KR commented to Billboard:
"Although I consider myself a versatile artist, I always want to emphasize that I am a fan of rap. Although I make a lot of melodic tracks, "Real Talk" is one of those records that I put out to display that I would never want my lyrical ability questioned. Although I'm just getting started, and I have a long way to go, I used that record as a method to release a lot of things that were on my mind that frustrated me about the music business in general. But over time, I'm starting to realize that it all comes with the territory."
