Jules Rendell - Let Go [Music Video Clip]

Soulful pop artist, Jules Rendell releases ‘Let Go’, the stomping 2nd single from her forthcoming album, ‘IMAGINE’.

Cementing her departure from the soul/jazz tones of her previous offerings, ‘Let Go’ is another riff-driven, foot tapper which this time entreats the listener to release themselves from debilitations of control, and to instead, free fall into freedom.

“When I was writing for this album, I realised I had the same perfectionist tendencies of so many around me; crippling thought patterns and unrealistic expectations that were stifling my potential. In my mind, nothing I did was ‘good enough’ – and I know that so many people spend every day thinking like that. I wrote this song for myself and for everyone who allows the fear of making mistakes to hold them back from living a full life.”

With lyrics like: ‘You don’t have to waste your time, wondering if your choice is right’, ‘Let Go’ addresses the universally human struggles of perfectionism and self-worth that are the central themes of Jules’ forthcoming album, ‘IMAGINE’, set to be released in Spring 2018, followed by a UK tour. Featuring the powerful vocals of guest artist Riccy Mitchell who has BV’d for the likes of Mica Paris and Jocelyn Brown, and produced by OL Music, ‘Let Go’ is the follow up to the recently released single ‘Old Friend‘. Both singles set the tone for the debut album, with its gritty, city-life soundscapes reflecting her home town of London.

Having honed her craft in the capital as a singer, songwriter, vocal arranger and music entrepreneur with vocal group Get Gospel, her first musical offerings were ‘The Lotusbloom’ in 2014 and the’ Collection’ EP in 2013, from which her song ‘Thank You’ was placed on US feature film, ‘The Father’s Love’. Live performances include a sell out show at the London Hippodrome, O2 Islington, Manchester Academy and an appearance on Robert Elms BBC London show. TV and film credits include London Live, OH TV, The Ayala Show, BBC 1Xtra live session (with Get Gospel).
