Legendary emcee Grand Puba, from the groundbreaking group Brand Nubian, is one of the first lyricists to bridge the gap between upbeat, socio-political ideals & conscious narratives in Urban music. His influence can be seen in the expansion of the Native Tongues movement (De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest) to other relevant groups like Dead Prez & Black Star to mainstream Urban collectives like RZA & GZA from Wu-Tang Clan. In addition to his massive success with Brand Nubian, Puba is also a decorated solo artist with classic hit singles in his arsenal such as “360 Degrees (What Goes Around)” & “I Like It (I Wanna Be Where You Are)”.

Today, Grand Puba is personally sharing the official music video for “UDK”, taken from his new album ‘Black From The Future‘. “UDK” is a futuristic journey, set 8.6 million light years form Earth, that explored the possible self-conducted extinction of mankind. The video for Grand Puba’s self-produced track was directed by Lamont “Liquid” Burrell and was overseen by Puba himself.
