Sandra Bland’s last recorded words have just been released, and they indicate a woman who was in no way ready to give up: a woman who planned to fight the police in court for their unconstitutional false arrest of the civil rights activist.
Bland’s family says they are still stunned, angry, & looking for answers.
The police dashcam video that released a few days ago just has them more angry. You can give the dashcam video footage a watch here on VannDigital.com!!!
“Looking at that, as her sister, I simply feel like the officer was picking on her,” Sharon Cooper says.
It was clear from that video that the officer had made a false arrest. That’s why he refused to explain what he was arresting Bland for, even though she asked 14 times.
Bland never seemed like she was the least bit intimidated or interested in backing down. She indicated in that video footage that she was prepared to fight the officer in court.
Now Sandra’s last words, left on a friends voicemail have added to that idea. The transcripts of that voicemail are as follows:
“Hey this is me. I’m (um). I just was able to see the judge. I don’t really know.
“They have me at a $5,000 bond. I’m still just at a loss for words honestly at this whole process.
“How did switching lanes with no signal turn into all of this, I don’t even know.
“(Um) But I’m still here, so I guess call me back when you can.”
