In his new video for “I Got It”, Brooklyn rapper Per-Fekt captures the fire of creativity & artistic expression with some help from director Adio Ash (Joyner Lucas, Big O). The emcee serves as the host to a personal trip through a performance hall, where a ballerina prepares her routine, b-boys perfect their choreography, a violinist lays down some chords in the studio, & Per-Fekt himself drops bars to his new track.
On its own, “I Got It” is a testament to Hip-Hop’s roots, which the BK spitter touches on throughout the uplifting & determined track. It’s produced by Chris Prythm, who supplies the head-nodding instrumental that shifts from raw breaks to layered instrumentation, while thoroughly complementing Per-Fekt’s energy.
And in its visual form, “I Got It” nails just what it means to be an artist who’s proud of his work, but also aware of what goes into creating it. It’s also a strong preview of what’s to come from Per-Fekt, who is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming solo debut project, 'Nobody’s Perfekt'.
