Big Bro is officially back (again)!!!
After a seven-year hiatus in between projects, DJ Kay Slay returned with the star-studded and diverse The Big Brother (2017), the album debuted in the top 10 on Apple’s Hip-Hop chart and featured collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Mac Miller, Kevin Gates, Tech N9ne, The Game, Dave East, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, Scarface, Jadakiss, Juicy J, Jay Rock, French Montana, E-40 and many, many others.
Less than a year after its release, Kay Slay is back to announce a new album Hip Hop Frontline. A fitting title considering Kay Slay has always been a prominent figure and conduit of said frontline. With the new album announcement, Kay Slay also releases a visual for the projects opening track “Back To The Bars (Intro)” which you can give a watch below. With the highly-anticipated season finale of Power airing this Sunday, Kay Slay politics with Power star Joseph Sikora (Tommy Egan) for a pep talk before handing things over to Joell Ortiz, Jon Connor, Mysonne, Vado, Fred The Godson, Locksmith & Nino Man for the “Back To The Bars (Intro).”
“In this time and era where popularity overrides lyrical talent and content, millions of hip-hop fans still crave that true sound. That is the purpose of this album Hip Hop Frontline; it’s a breath of fresh air” Kay Slay adamantly professed to HipHopDX.
Similar to Kay Slay’s previous red-carpet events, Hip Hop Frontline will strictly be an A-List guest affair only!
DJ Kay Slay’s Hip Hop Frontline will be released in October 2018 via EMPIRE.
