Cam’ron has been in the headlines as of late, after Jay Z mentioned him on Drake’s record, “Pound Cake“.
In the song, Hov tells listeners just how many people he turned into successes, including Cam’ron — who, himself, responded on his new cut “Come and Talk To Me“, clarifying that he had made his first million before the Roc-A-Fella Records deal.
In a recent interview with MTV, Cam cleared the air about his past beef with Jay, saying he’s over it… but the hip-hop mogul continues to hold a grudge. In fact, to this day, he claims Dipset music is not allowed in 40/40 Club locations.
“It’s ridiculous. I got DJs who DJ in there, who are my people and you can’t play no Diplomat music in there,” Cam said. “Will we irk you that much? That’s the thing that make me be like, ‘Wow.’ Because I don’t care, I like it, because if I had $500,000 million nothing can make me mad. But just for the simple fact that we get under your skin that much good because we’re that fly, we’re that flashy, and we just that type of people to get you upset. But I don’t have any problem with him, I think it’s cool, but c’mon.”
