New Orleans’ favorite son Dee Day gives Houston idols’ UGK & Scarface songs a do-over on this third installment of his weekly “Homage” freestyle series. A lover of the old skool, episodes one & two saw Dee Day re-imagine songs from Dr. Dre, Mobb Deep, Nas, & Snoop Dogg as he pays his respects to those that have paved his way.

Even the video treatments themselves have given a nod to the classics that birthed them courtesy of directors Ejaaz A. Mason & CRG Films. As Dee Day likes to put it, ‘new skool flow over these old skool beats’ but don’t imagine for a second that the Crescent City emcee has nothing of his own to offer up his sleeve; “Homage” is simply a way to warm up the room as he prepares to drop his first official single, “One Time”.
