With all ears on Coops & his new mixtape release ‘Lost Soul‘, many are tipping the 23-year-old spitter from North London to take the limelight in UK Hip-Hop & he doesn’t disappoint with his latest single “So Cold“. Teaming up with Benny Banks & Sophie Faith for yet another gritty visual off the ‘Lost Soul‘ mixtape, Coops is bound to turn even more heads with this latest effort.

Often praised for the fresh, deep-rooted sound he has managed to create with his producer Talos; Coops rhymes over a boom-bap style beats with Benny Banks further complimenting his style as the pair share dark tales from their pasts.

With the video itself featuring cameos from Benny Banks, Sophie Faith, & Joe Black, we’re left with a cliffhanger that is sure to be continued into the next video.

Released this week (6.2.2014) via his own website, the ‘Lost Soul‘ mixtape is a collection of tracks which represent of number of different meanings & emotions, as the title implies. As well as being a metaphor for Coops’ perception of himself in his search for self-awareness, it also reflects what Coops feels has been lost in music today.
