What’s wrong with the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice? ​Isn’t chocolate​ beautiful? ​And if so, then why does mainstream media & big corporations continue to show us through marketing campaigns & artist signings that this is not industry standard??? If you take a look at most of the major labels rosters in the R&B world you will see most of the female singers are lightskin with the exception of Kelly Rowland who got her solo chance because of the chart topping group she was a associated with & was the only darkskin member of the bunch & then Jill Scott & Jennifer Hudson who have exceptional talent that simply couldn’t be overlooked.
