The much talked about showdown between battle rap veteran Dizaster & gold-selling emcee Cassidy did not come together as originally planned. Diz & Cas were set to face off at FilmOn’s “Ether” event on Saturday, but the battle was shut down by the fire Marshall after the first round.
“Ether” promoters Alki David (of ETV.com) & Lush One (of Fresh Coast Media) rescheduled the completion of Dizaster versus Cassidy for the following day. Cassidy was asked about the final outcome of his lyrical bout with Dizaster, and the Philadelphia rhymer made it clear he felt it was an easy win for him.
“I’m celebrating. I just ‘3-0’d’ that dude,” said Cass. “Everybody seen it. Man, I cooked him. A nigga that took 12 years off came out of retirement and cooked a nigga that do it everyday. So I’m celebrating.”
Cassidy also addressed there were “technical difficulties” plaguing the Saturday night battle. There were issues with the sound equipment during the showcase. In a statement, David admitted he felt let down by the sound people and the security for “Ether”.
Dizaster also took to Twitter to allege there were a large amount of firearms present during the make-up battle.

This was the third battle event featuring current or formerly signed rappers that ended without the crowd seeing a full contest. Back in July, Slaughterhouse member Joe Budden cut the third round of his highly anticipated Total Slaughter match up against Hollow Da Don shortly after complaining about the crowd booing him.
The Fredro Starr/Keith Murray battle scheduled for MC War’s “NWO 2″ never even started. The respective Def Squad and Onyx representatives apparently took issue with not being properly paid for their appearances.
