Toronto residents asked to bring their unique treasures down to Old City Hall for a one-of-a-kind event on August 23rd.
Think you have a piece of Toronto’s history tucked away???
Now’s your chance to share its story with your fellow Torontonians and a museum expert, while learning how to preserve it for generations to come at the Toronto Treasures event on August 23rd at Old City Hall (60 Queen Street West) running from 10am to 3pm.
Toronto Treasures is a part of the City of Toronto’s Summer at Old City Hall series, opening the doors to the 126-year-old building and national historic site to enjoy a series of free admission events that bring new life to one of Toronto’s most cherished heritage spaces.
Summer at Old City Hall is part of the City’s commitment to reimagine the building in a way that serves the public and celebrates its role in Toronto’s past, present, and future.
While there, visitors can also check out the Block by Block exhibition which shares oral histories of Indigenous, newcomer, and equity-deserving residents of various neighborhoods, exploring themes of change, belonging, and civic life.
