When he’s not writing and directing feature films, or making music, or working on graphic novels, RZA is busy being cast in TV serials and feature films, like the English-language remake of the French action movie, District B13 – a Luc Besson production (he produced the French original), to be directed by Camille Delamarre.

RZA has signed up to play the villain opposite Paul Walker’s hero, in a movie that will be titled Brick Mansions, to be backed by Besson’s EuropaCorp and Relativity Media.

The original French film, helmed by Pierre Morel, was set in a Paris “hood,” where an undercover cop and ex-thug tries to infiltrate a gang, in order to defuse a neutron bomb.

The English-language remake will see Paul Walker play an undercover cop who has to infiltrate a ‘hood’ tenement named Brick Mansions, in order to disarm a ticking neutron bomb.

RZA will play the tenement’s “formidable” drug lord, who happens to be in control the bomb.

Production is underway in Montreal.

Up next for RZA… he co-stars in the upcoming new Fox drama series directed by Allen Hughes, titled Gang Related, playing a member of a Gang Task Force.

Behind the camera, he’s attached to direct John Milius’ Genghis Khan biopic, an action thriller titled No Man’s Land, and an adaptation of comic book author Grant Morrison’s latest work, Happy!. There’s also some mystery original project called One Spoon Of Chocolate.

He’s certainly in demand and busy.
