In the new documentary, “2Pac Assassination: Battle For Compton“, Suge Knight speaks on who killed 2Pac on that fateful night of September 7, 1996.

According to RollingOut Magazine:

Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight is currently in jail and facing trial for a hit and run that led to the death of one man and the serious injury of another. In January 2015, he struck and killed his friend Terry Carter and injured actor Cle Sloan as he tried to speed away from a fight. Knight is charged with murder, attempted murder, and hit-and-run following the dispute in Compton, California. However, a new film release has the focus off Knight for the moment and instead on the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. It was revealed that Knight is blaming his ex-wife Sharitha and former Death Row Records security chief Reggie White Jr., for the Tupac murder, which he said was a failed attempt on his life.

A lawyer for Knight, Thaddeus Culpepper, gave a signed affidavit to producers of the new documentary Tupac Assassination: Battle for Compton. The affidavit, taken July 18, 2015, by the LAPD, confirms what Knight has maintained privately for some time that during his divorce proceedings his ex-wife hatched an assassination plot to kill him and seize control of Death Row Records before a divorce became final. He maintains that his death would have given control of the label to his former wife. Tupac was not the initial target of the attack in which Knight was slightly injured.

The co-director of the new Tupac film, Richard Bond stated to media “When our book came out and we were working on the movie, we gave the salient points of the book (Tupac: 187 The Red Knight) to Thaddeus Culpepper, who read them to Suge Knight. Suge’s initial response was, ‘Who the hell are these guys?’” According to an unnamed source, Knight confirmed that the theories in the film were true.

A spokesperson for the film stated that in a conversation with co- director Michael Douglas Carlin “Culpepper told Carlin individually that not only did Knight confirm the events as portrayed in Compton, which portray Knight as the intended target and Shakur as collateral damage, as true, but also goes on to allege that these 1996 events may have been the first in a history of attempts on Knight’s life, culminating in the recent attempted killing of Knight at the 1OAK Club in Los Angeles, where Knight was shot six times.”

Knight insists that the movie by Carlin and Bond reveals the truth behind the murder of his friend and protégé Tupac.

Now my question is: if this is true: why speak on it now???
