Styles P On Mass Appeal’s ‘Open Space’

“Watch what you’e eating, watch the vibe you’re giving off, watch how you treat people.”

If you follow Styles P on Twitter, you’ve probably gotten used to his habit of dropping health gems and his social commentary. As one-third of the legendary rap trio The LOX, he’s always had a very blunt style of speaking on things. In this episode of Open Space he points out that he might have referenced weed in every song he’s ever done.

With two of rap’s most heralded lyricists as partners, Styles P is no stranger to trading verses. Treating rap as a sport he advises fellow MCs to stay in shape and stay training. Recently he’s been “lyrically busy,” releasing a couple of collaborative projects with Taylor Gang’s Berner and Talib Kweli. He said the latter project was “mandatory for the people,” packed with jewels and the sort of raw hip hop both artists are known for.

Styles P also gives us the backstory on how he became co-owned of Juice for Life. To nobody’s surprise, his venture came about organically and has been a hit. The Bronx shop has many different types of patrons from people that want to lose weight, to fellow health aware rappers. Check out the video below… –Mass Appeal
