Phonophage is a founding member and resident producer of the burgeoning Cincinnati hip-hop label Fort Ancient Records. ‘Bakewell’ is a sonic exploration into the false equivalence of “new” and “improved”. Inspired by six Cincinnati locales, each track takes a step back in time, ultimately representing three years of Phonophage’s residency in the city. ‘Bakewell’ is a fully instrumental album with the exception of the lead single “Winter”, which features fellow Fort Ancient artist Blasé.

Phonophage made his album debut with ‘What Waits in the Woods‘ in 2016, and has numerous production credits on Fort Ancient releases ‘Gatsby‘ (2017) and ‘First Team‘ (2017).
