New York-based duo LION BABE (comprised of singer-songwriter Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman) celebrate the release of their second album, Cosmic Wind, out today (3.29.2019)!!! The project offers stand out singles ‘Western World’, which pulls inspiration from the Pet Shop Boys’ timeless classic ‘West End Girls’ and features hip-hop legend Raekwon, and the disco-infused bop ‘The Wave‘ featuring Leikeli47. The 15-track album is an introspective turn, highlighting the duo’s growth socially, lyrically, and musically!!!

Cosmic Wind is the follow up to LION BABE’s 2016 critically-acclaimed debut album Begin and comes on the heels of a very strong 2018 for the band, earmarked by live performances at Coachella’s main stage, and AFROPUNK festival. They ended the year with two re-imagined covers for Carly Simon’s classic ‘Why‘ and Little Beaver’sGet Into The Party Life‘ which are continuing to grow rapidly in streams.

Alongside the release of their second studio album, the duo shared official videos for ‘The Wave‘ featuring Leikeli47 and yesterday’s ‘Western World‘, with the band taking on the wild west with the help of Raekwon.

Since 2014, the duo have garnered an impressive music catalog and have collaborated with some music favorites such as rapper/actor Childish Gambino and house music sibling duo, Disclosure, who featured the New York natives on their single ‘Hourglass‘. In 2018, HBO’s original series Insecure recruited LION BABE for their singles ‘Hit The Ceiling‘ and ‘Just Me‘, which were broadcasted for Seasons 1 and 3. LION BABE have made several big festival appearances over the last few years including Coachella, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, AFROPUNK, and Lollapalooza to name a few and will have new 2019 live dates to announce soon!!!
