A few days after she released her short film 'Trip', R&B singer Jhené Aiko drops her new album of the same name.
'Trip', which was inspired by the death of her brother Miyagi (who died back in 2012), contains 22 tracks with features from Brandy, Big Sean, Swae Lee, Kurupt, Mali Music, & TWENTY88 as well as her father Dr. Chill & her daughter Namiko Love.
Aiko had this to say about the album:
"My brother and I were very close. We were only two years apart. I never thought of him as a separate person, but an extension of myself. He was my reflection. In his presence, I was confident and always so sure."
She concludes with:
"I distract myself with work, which buys me things I wish I could share with him. I distract myself with work, which causes stress I wish he were here to help me with."
