St. Louis Police Lieutenant Colonel Michael Sack has been awarded Donkey Of The Day.
A St. Louis Police Lieutenant Colonel by the name of Michael Sack went out of his way to sue the city not too long ago.
Now, why the hell did Sack sue the city, you ask???
Sack thought it was a good idea to sue the city because he felt that he was passed over for the opportunity to be St. Louis’s next police chief because he is white.
With that in mind, it’s worth mentioning that the chief that was eventually appointed by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department happens to be a white guy named Robert J. Tracy.
According to the lawsuit, Mayor Tishaura Jones had this to say, “I only had two white male candidates to choose from and St. Louis is more diverse than white males, our police department is more diverse…”
The lawsuit continues with, “Jones’ race-based reason for reopening the Commissioner/Chief search was consistent with the pledge she made when running for mayor that she wanted to prioritize diversity in promotions within the Department.”
Sgt. Mickey Owens, president of the St. Louis Police Leadership Organization, had this to say in a statement, “The St. Louis Police Leadership Organization has an expectation that all our members will receive fair and equitable treatment and consideration when they participate in any promotional processes within the St. Louis Police Department. And when they don’t, we support the members decision to seek a remedy from the courts.”
There’s more but we’ll let Charlamagne Tha God take over from here…
