Ryélle Releases Part One Of Her Modern Retelling Of ‘Cinderella’

R&B singer/songwriter Ryélle’s interpretation of love and its dependency on time is represented in her latest single “Cinderella”. Produced by multi-platinum producer De-Capo (credits include T-Pain, Iggy Azalea, etc.), “Cinderella” is the first record from Ryélle’s new two-song EP ‘SOLO‘, released last month. The single’s official music video debuted today (6.11.2020). Directed by Diego Cruz (director of Fabolous’ “Cold Summer” video), the visual treatment serves as part one to Ryélle’s full, modern retelling of the classic Cinderella folk tale.

‘Cinderella’ is about a love that becomes disappointing because the other person isn’t in the same place as the other person. You want to give that person some time to get their shit together but time is ticking literally. The song talks about ‘having a carriage waiting…’, whether he decides to get his shit together or not… The Cinderella theme used here symbolizes how you might miss out on a great opportunity at love if you let the ‘clock strike out’.” –Ryélle
