In an interesting turn of events, Long Island rapper Craig Mack has passed away at 46 years of age. Mack died of heart failure in his Walterboro, South Carolina home.
As the first artist signed to Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment, Mack would be known for his hits “Flava In Ya Ear” & its remix as well as “Get Down“. While he wouldn’t be known for his later singles “Making Moves With Puff” & “Jockin My Style“, they are still favorites of mine.
Even though he (along with Biggie) helped build Bad Boy, Mack would eventually leave the industry to join a religious cult in Walterboro, South Carolina. Another interesting fact was that he was missing from the 2015 BET Awards performance that brought back together most of the old-school Bad Boy crew as well as the Bad Boy 20 Year Reunion tour in 2016.
We at VannDigital would like to give our condolences to Mack’s wife & two adult children.
