“Revolt For Change” is the first taste of the full-length collaboration, ‘The S.O.S. Project‘, to be released on 4.14.2017!!! The project pairs legendary Detroit emcee, Phat Kat & Berlin-bred DJ/producer DJ Dister.

Reflecting the spirit of the times, Phat Kat said of the track:

“It’s about police brutality, excessive force, & how our citizens are being treated like animals and the current situation our country and community is in.”

A foundation of the Detroit hip-hop scene since the early 90’s, Phat Kat was in a duo with J Dilla (1st Down) and has an extensive catalog of tracks with Dilla, Slum Village, & Black Milk.

With a resume that stretches back fifteen years, DJ Dister was a strong part of the Berlin, Germany true-school hip-hop scene. As a producer, he released two previous albums including ‘Roll Wit Dis‘ (2013) which featured appearances from Masta Ace, Kool G Rap, KRS-One, Fashawn, among others. 2015’s ‘Consistent Knockouts‘ featured appearances by Jeru The Damaja, eMC, & Phat Kat.
