North Carolina woman Kimberly Jennings has been awarded Donkey Of The Day for assaulting 11-year-old Black boy for using pool.
Not too long ago, apartment security footage of a racially motivated assault between 62-year-old white woman Kimberly Jennings and 11-year-old Black boy Jace Eury & his 6-year-old sister Jayla started making its rounds on social media.
The assault–which took place in Sedgefield Gardens Apartments in Greensboro, North Carolina–has since resulted in Jennings, who at the time was the manager of said complex, being arrested and charged with two counts of simple assault on a child under 12.
Robert Eury, the father of the children, had this to say, “I can’t even, words can’t even explain.”
Jayla elaborated with, “She slapped me and then my brother came and splashed water on her.”
With that, Jace added, “When I was walking up the stairs to get to the gate, they were asking if I hit her because she had hit my sister first. So I hit her after she hit my sister. Then she poured Coke on me and hit me with the bottle twice.”
Jae Eury, the mother of the children, had this to add, “What she did to him, if I put one finger on her, I am the one that’s going to be in trouble. And that’s just not cool. You hit my child, you hit both of my children. You’ve been harassing my children all summer long and all they wanted to do was just swim in the heat. Just swim, enjoy themselves as children should.”
As this situation has since resulted in a lawsuit against Sedgefield Gardens Apartments and Sedgefield Realty Company LLC, Harry Daniels, an attorney for the Eury family, had this to say, “All because there was a swimming pool. Not only that, she decided to assault them. She humiliated them and embarrassed him. There’s more layers to this. It’s not just children that are in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is a bad seed. [It’s ]Racist, prejudiced and [the] apartment complex knew that she had a tendency to lie and mistreat Black folk.”
There’s more but we’ll let Charlamagne Tha God take over from here…
