Nemzzz drops his new single, “Cold”, ahead of his forthcoming mixtape, ‘Rent’s Due’.
Mancunian rap artist Nemzzz has released his hard-hitting new single, “Cold”, the first track from his highly anticipated forthcoming mixtape, ‘Rent’s Due’.
Announced today, the forthcoming mixtape is set to be released on March 28th and will feature 14 tracks, marking a significant step in the rapper’s career.
“Cold” features icy production and sharp lyricism, showcasing Nemzzz’s distinctive style.
The track speaks volumes of talent for the ever-growing UK talent, who was last year hailed as the third highest streaming UK rapper on Spotify, with only Central Cee and Dave before him.
Accompanying the release is a trademark cinematic black and white visual, directed by Don Prod and featuring Michael Dappah.
Nemzzz has quickly become one of the most exciting names in UK rap, known for his laidback cadence, introspective lyricism, and sharp storytelling.
His breakout singles “2MS” and “Elevate” have amassed millions of streams, leading to co-signs from major artists including Drake, Lil Yachty, Skepta, and Clint419 (Corteiz).
His previous mixtape, ‘Do Not Disturb‘, featured standout tracks like “Money & Vibes” and “Reflection”, where Nemzzz explored themes of self-motivation, social media façades, and personal growth.
Raised in Gorton, Manchester, Nemzzz grew up surrounded by music, using songwriting as a way to navigate his environment and stay away from negative influences.
His experiences shaped a relatable and introspective approach to rap, tackling issues such as financial literacy, mental health, and staying true to oneself amid external pressures.
With over 1 billion streams across his catalogue and an awe-inspiring 500 million + streams in 2024 alone, Nemzzz’s ‘Rent’s Due’ promises to be a declaration of growth and intent, solidifying his position as a front-runner in the UK music scene.
Nemzzz’s “Rent’s Due” mixtape is available now to pre-add/pre-order/pre-save on all major digital streaming platforms
