Born in East Harlem, New York City and raised in the Thomas Jefferson Houses; UFO FEV was inspired by his favorite rappers including Big Pun, Jay-Z, and Beanie Sigel. FEV was raised in a household that was very musically diverse; listening to hip-hop, Latin, and freestyle. A major influence in his life was his father, Tony, from the internationally-known group TKA.
The name FEV was bestowed upon him by Black Rob. His exact words were, “You’re hot like a fever“, hence the name FEV which stuck. UFO comes from FEV’s journey for knowledge of self.
UFO FEV recently released ‘Fresh Air’, his recent collaborative album alongside legendary DJ/producer Statik Selektah which was released in February. ‘Fresh Air’ featured appearances from Termanology, Ransom, and Eto.
FEV now re-emerges with his new single, “Fentanyl Flow” featuring Fat Joe, which was premiered by Ebro/Beats 1/Apple Music.
“‘Fentanyl Flow’ came about after a conversation Fat Joe and I had after he heard my project (‘Fresh Air’) with Statik. I wanted to get Joe on something with that classic NYC hip hop feel” Fev stated.
