MP3: Sean Price & Small Professor feat. AG Da Coroner, Guilty Simpson, & Your Old Droog - John Gotti

Several years in the making, the highly anticipated collaborative album from the late Sean Price and producer Small Professor, 86 Witness, is almost here. And to remind y’all of just how well this duo worked together, “John Gotti” arrives as the lead single with features from a murderer’s row of guests in AG Da Coroner, Guilty Simpson, and Your Old Droog.

Philly native Small Pro sets the tone perfectly with an instrumental that combines head-nodding percussion with film noir-reminiscent flavors. And with that murky beat as their canvas, listeners are treated to a straight-up barrage of rhymes from all four emcees.

Sean P opens the track with his trademark bars that mix bully raps with absurdist wordplay, like how says he’s “Half god-body, other half Rob Zombie” and name-drops Sylvester Stallone and First Blood amidst a threat of murder. AG, Guilty, and Droog follow suit with similarly wild raps that include quotables like “A crazy Puerto Rican, split your head to the white meat” from AG, “I rhyme dangerous, trigger-finger hand gestures won’t spell it out,” from Guilty, and “I’m a giant, you’se a hobbit / Wack like a mob hit” from YOD.

No hooks, no gimmicks, just bars upon bars from some of the best do it. “John Gotti” is available now through the digital retailer of your choice, and can be purchased for instant grat off the iTunes pre-order for 86 Witness, which is also available now for pre-order in a limited magenta/black swirl vinyl, CD with bonus content, and bundle package equipped with a “Refrigerator P” jersey-style T-shirt. The album, which includes additional guest features from Rock, Quelle Chris, Illa Ghee, Elucid, Caste, Zilla Rocca, Reef the Lost Cauze, DJ Revolution, and more is due out Feb 08 as a dual-label release via Coalmine Records and Duck Down Music.
