To help promote his upcoming movie “The Land” (which is set to drop in theaters on 7.29.2016), Nas (who serves as the movie’s executive producer) reaches out to Erykah Badu (who will play a role in the movie) to bring forth a collabo single, titled “This Bitter Land“, which pays homage to Billie Holiday’s “Strange Fruit” as well as focus on racism, poverty, & other major issues that plague American (as well as general) society.
