MopTop, a New England native who relocated to Chicago then New York City a few years ago, continues to break down genre-specific barriers as both a DJ & music producer. His eclectic style of mixing & production has captured the attentions of publications such as NY Magazine, The Chicago Reader, URB Magazine (Next 100), & more.
Today, he delivers a new single, “The Moon“, featuring Telli from NinjaSonik, G.R.A.M.Z., & singer Mairys Joaquin.
The release comes at the close of a Summer that presented numerous opportunities for MopTop. In these past few months, MopTop has performed in Chicago, Boston, Philly, & New York City – opening up for acts such as Talib Kweli, Zara Larsen, & Jason Derulo.
“The Moon” is the perfect example of MopTop’s multifaceted musical style – one that he’s cultivated & perfected for a number of years in Chicago’s underground music scene.
