So check this out, I’ve been peeping Crash for a long while. Recently he’s cooked up some piff that everyone needs to check out. Below is a little synposis of who he is in case you haven’t heard.

CRASHprez is a 20-year-old hip-hop artist from the DMV area, currently based in Madison, WI as a member of the CATCH WRECK collective. He is a 5th Cohort student-artist in the First Wave Hip Hop and Urban Arts scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who has performed alongside Waka Flocka Flame, Chance the Rapper, Danny Brown, Lil B, and Ryan Leslie among others.

“Thom Yorke is Black” is a record exploring how the term “genius” continues to be restricted along racial and artistic lines, echoed by a brash and proud rejection of these boundaries through the symbolic recontextualization of Radiohead’s catalog, and its mastermind frontman Thom Yorke. “Thom Yorke is Black” is the first single from CRASHprez’s “more perfect.” release, due Summer 2014 via CATCH WRECK.  “fear itself.” is available now via CATCH WRECK.
