Today, 25 year-old rising rapper and Texas-born artist AQ releases his newest single "River Run Dry". The single is the latest release off his upcoming debut EP QNY SZN (pronounced Quinny Season) – due out later this year.
Written by AQ and produced by ROZWELL FITZROY, "River Run Dry" highlights his signature sound and explores the issues and thoughts involved when mixing emotions with substances. A piano intro is met with snaps and snares as AQ begins to tell it how it is, "She came in the mix at a mixer in LA".
Of the track, AQ says, "'River Run Dry' is a melodic upbeat track about the dangers of emotions mixed with alcohol. The River Running dry exemplifies a drain of emotion or/and substance, whether that be Tito's vodka or lack of personal connectivity. The inspiration behind the sound of the song comes from music by Kid Cudi and Mac Miller."
"River Run Dry" follows AQ's single and video "Florida", which Earmilk called "youthful and buoyant". The new release marks the 4th single off the Pusha T-discovered artist's upcoming project. Maintaining momentum from his previously released tracks "The Captain" and "Florida" and after being dubbed 'Artist On The Rise' by UPROXX, AQ is now releasing "River Run Dry" ahead of his debut EP QNY SZN.
With new music on the way and stories to tell, AQ is not one to sleep on.
