Milano Constantine has made a name for himself showcasing his art alongside other great NYC emcees such as Big Pun & the D.I.T.C. camp. Since 2000, the Harlem native has released a handful of solid projects, but now the time has finally arrived for his anticipated full-length masterpiece ‘The Way We Were‘.
‘The Way We Were‘ is entirely produced by two of the dopest & most consistent producers in today’s Hip-Hop landscape; Marco Polo (Masta Ace, Pharoahe Monch, Talib Kweli, etc) & DJ Skizz (M.O.P., Your Old Droog, Roc Marciano). Both producers give Milano the backdrop needed to tell his stories about ‘The Way We Were‘ in head-nodding, scrunchy-face fashion.
The album is a perfect blend of Hip-Hop & Afro-Futurism. Ultimately, ‘The Way We Were‘ pays homage to the culture of Hip-Hop and the last great era of skilled emcees from NYC.
After dropping his Conway & Big Twins-assisted track, “Rasclat”, a few days ago, Milano now presents a full stream of his ‘The Way We Were‘ album. ‘The Way We Were‘ includes guest appearances from Conway, Big Twins, & M.O.P. and is now available digitally on DJ Skizz’s Different Worlds Music Group imprint.
