Marco Luka drops his bright and bold new single and video for “Talk To Me” plus announces his new EP, ‘#SWAGPOP’.

North Carolina singer/songwriter Marco Luka steps out into the light with his bright and bold new single “Talk To Me”, out now via Arista Records and announces his new EP, ‘#SWAGPOP’ coming this September!!!

The funky, genre-upending cut marks his first solo release since his more shadowy and introspective ‘INSOMNIA‘ EP, and also since his band Weston Estate dropped their June ‘SUPERBLOOM‘ EP.

“‘Talk To Me’ is a return to my high-energy tracks,” says Marco. “During my last project, ‘INSOMNIA’, my music lived in a rich but mellow acoustic space, and I want people to move their bodies to my music again. ‘Talk To Me’ leans into a funkier, more electronic side of me, and after making it late last year I knew I had found my new direction. It feels like pure child-like fun.”

That spirit is palpable as Marco embraces his inner frontman, sliding between breathy falsettos and commanding verses over wobbly synths, fuzzy bass, and driving drums.

Complete with turntable cuts, “Talk To Me” morphs into lush electronic disco while Marco throws caution to the wind: “Something about the way you make me feel / The way you move your body make me think it’s real / You say you love me when our fingers intertwine / But you might just go ruin my life.”

The visualizer brings all that exuberance and color to life thanks to a hands-on mixed media approach that involves actual crayons.

Released in March, ‘INSOMNIA’ is exhilarating in a different way — an often minimal and thoroughly intimate blur of acoustic R&B, blistering rock, bedroom pop, and DIY electronics steeped in strong emotion and self-reflection.

Since the EP’s arrival, Marco has shared new videos from the set, including for the gorgeously raw opener “old” and the shimmering “aire”, his first song in Spanish.

Those joined previous visuals for “rush”, “forevermore”, “need you now”, “company”, “superman”, and “all night”.

Across his young career, Marco has demonstrated an uncanny ability to make different styles feel of a piece.

It’s a quality he shares with his fellow singer/songwriters and player/producers in eclectic lo-fi pop band Weston Estate, whose recent ‘SUPERBLOOM’ EP pulls listeners through a swirl of genres, textures, and moods while capturing a powerful sense of coming-of-age.

All of that will be on display at the so-called SUPERBLOOM FESTIVAL on August 24 at NYC’s Knockdown Center, where Marco will perform both solo and with the group alongside a host of rising artists including Asal, Yung Fazo, wolfacejoeyy, Deux Visages, Biking with Francis, and more.

Marco and Weston Estate will repeat the double-header days later, on August 30, at the Raleighwood Festival in their hometown of Raleigh, NC.
