A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder in the execution-style shooting of 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee in a South Side alley which took place last November as well as a 19-year-old woman who was killed weeks earlier in the same ongoing South Side gang conflict.

Dwright Boone-Doty was charged with both murders Monday night (3.7.2016). He was already in custody on unrelated gun charges, according to authorities. He is a reputed member of a faction of the Black P Stones gang, law enforcement sources said.

Sally Daly, the spokeswoman for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, confirmed the charges Monday night (3.7.2016).

Police have said that Tyshawn was targeted in early November because of his father’s alleged gang ties & a recent series of shootings between two rival gangs in the Auburn Gresham community. The charges against the man will be discussed at a news conference on Tuesday (3.8.2016), police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.

Brianna Jenkins, 19, was shot to death on 10.19.2015 in the 7800 block of South Honore. Another man that was with her, who police said affiliates with a gang involved in the conflict, was wounded and survived.
