Machine Gun Kelly Talks New Album, Falling In Love, His Friendship With Pete Davidson, Feuding With Eminem, & More On SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show

Machine Gun Kelly made his SiriusXM The Howard Stern Show debut yesterday. Speaking with Howard Stern, Machine Gun Kelly opened up on every aspect of his life, from his deep connection with the universe to the high-profile feuds, friendships, and his relationship with actress Megan Fox. Throughout their conversation Machine Gun Kelly talked about his friendship with Pete Davidson, recalling when he was dating Ariana Grande saying “I remember when like the Ari thing happened, like I just looked at Pete and we were all just like, man, like the, the average American dude is very proud. He just was like a symbol of hope.”

Machine Gun Kelly spoke about his new album ‘Tickets To My Downfall‘ and changing his sound saying “I just want to go against what everyone else thinks,” he said at one point. “I make a pop-punk record … and everyone’s like, ‘You switched genres!’ To me, I just added on to the multiple things I’ve already done anyway, but, sure, what a narrow-minded way to look at things.”

Talking about his relationship with Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly revealed it was love at first sight and finding true love saying “I didn’t know what that was until me and her made eye contact. That’s when I was like, ‘Whoa’.” With Howard Stern asking if it was love at first sight, Machine Gun Kelly saying, “Yeah, for sure.”

Machine Gun Kelly also opened up about his feud with Eminem revealing “I’m like asleep on my tour bus and this fucking guy drops an album with like three songs consecutively talking about me. What the fuck you think I’m going to do, just fucking roll over and go back to sleep? I said what I said. Respect the fight and that’s it.”

Howard Stern: I heard you did something really great for him. Like when Pete was in trouble needed rehab, you got him a bed at rehab facility in Malibu. I know that went a long way with him.

Machine Gun Kelly: I don’t have any siblings, you know? So you, when you see someone like Pete like, that’s like a, my little brother, you know, he’s like my best friend too, but also like a little brother. So it’s kind of like, you have the opportunity to live that dynamic of like having a sibling, because I was the only child. So obviously to me, that’s like the dream, you know, having a brother or sister or something like that. So Pete Pete’s like that for me.

Machine Gun Kelly: He ended up meeting each other for The Dirt and Mötley Crüe movie that we both were in. And then I remember we went out for a night on New Orleans together. He was the only other person that smoked weed on the cast. And so we, like, we were, we bonded over that at first. And like, he just, dudes out of his god damn mind.

Howard Stern: He’s got big dick energy, you know, told me that he told me that

Machine Gun Kelly: I was around for the whole creation of the, that, that term. That was, uh, that was an interesting time. We are, It was like, I’ll never forget. Cause it was kind of when I crashing it, their apartment in New York when they were together. And it was like, something happened. I forgot what, like maybe that term came out or went viral and we like would step on the streets and everyone would be like, we were all like, yeah, we’re all like, why is everyone looking at us all funny.

Howard Stern: Were you shocked? Like shit. I mean, I’ve known Pete all of a sudden he’s now like America’s sex symbol.

Machine Gun Kelly: I remember when like the Ari thing happened, like I just looked at Pete and we were all just like, man, like the, the average American dude is very proud. He just was like a symbol of hope because he was just like one of the… He’s one of the, one of the boys, you know what I mean? Just like one of the guys in the basement.

Howard Stern: You’re going to get married I think. That’s my prediction. You’re going to marry Megan. I think this is going to happen. And I think Pete’s going to be your best man. Am I correct?
