Love Spells “Wish I Didn’t Love You” (Audio)

Love Spells battles regret on his new single, “Wish I Didn’t Love You”.

On the verge of a major breakthrough this year, singer-songwriter Love Spells (aka Sir Taegen Harris) continues to bare it all on his latest otherworldly single “Wish I Didn’t Love You”, out today via Loveless/ADA.

“Wish I Didn’t Love You” is an intimate expression of longing and heartbreak.

Produced by Alex Craig (Roy Blair, After, Claud), the song features an elegant instrumental reminiscent of early The XX and pairs effortlessly with Love Spells’ smokey vocals.

Regarding the track, Love Spells comments, “This song is about wanting to stop carrying someone with you – a love that you can’t seem to move on from. It’s about wanting to finally move through the world without seeing traces of that person in everything you do.”

“Wish I Didn’t Love You” follows the release of Love Spells’ latest EP, ‘The Love I Showed You Was Yours To Keep’, a multi-dimensional sensory experience over the course of six tracks that encompasses themes of mental illness, heartbreak, longing, love, and life’s lessons threaded into soundscapes underpinned by warm production, gentle instrumentation, and ethereal vocals.

At just 20 years old, Love Spells has already earned cosigns from the likes of Lorde, Young Thug, The Marías, Dominic Fike, RM of BTS, and was recently featured on 10 of the 19 tracks off Kevin Abstract’s critically lauded album Blush, including fan favorite “97 Jag” and deluxe single “Doggy” alongside Dominic Fike and Truly Young.

This past Spring, Love Spells joined Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory on their 2025 North American tour, sold out his first-ever headline show at Union Pool in Brooklyn, opened for Dominic Fike in Chicago, and is set to headline his first sold out LA show at Moroccan Lounge on August 20.
